Data Replication
KaleidoNet® Replication Servers’ core package, Mirror File System (MFS), is a kernel
loadable module with a standard VFS interface and no change to UFS and NFS. MFS’s
replication is effectively done by replicating only those changed portion of a file
(no metadata). MFS is transparent to users, to applications, to existing file structures,
and to underlying file systems. MFS mount mechanism allows you to mount one directory
to two or more file systems. MFS replication can be in one-

Disaster Recovery (DR)
KaleidoNet® Replication Servers does disaster recovery by duplicating data locally (through RAID controller) and replicating an identical copy to a remote location that can be in long distance as long as NFS allows.
High Availability (HA)
KaleidoNet® Replication Servers is configured in a way that it will be immediate up and running whenever failover or failback occurs. No need to do manual fsck and mount operation.
Areca® RAID controller
Unparalleled performance (Intel high performance I/O processor); Unsurpassed data availability (RAID 0, 1, 1E , 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60 or JBOD); Maximum interoperability; Easy RAID management (McBIOS, Browser style GUI, CLI); and SAS for maximum Scalability (up to 128 SAS/SATA II disks with SAS expanders).
